Lunch at Kangaroo Valley via Berry

This run takes us south of Sydney, through the National Park for morning tea at Austinmer, then on through Berry and West into Kangaroo Valley for lunch.   The homeward leg takes us through Robertson, stopping at Fitzroy Falls and Macquarie Pass.

Meeting Point:     Loftus Oval Car Park, which is on the left after crossing the tramway lines across the Princes Hwy after the traffic lights from Sutherland Station. 
Time:       0800 for 0830 start.

0900 hrs

depart car park for morning tea at Austinmer travelling via the Royal National Park, Audley, Stanwell Tops, Coalcliff , Scarborough, Wombarra, Coledale / sea side drive to Austinmer and parking in car park on left opposite Café’s near beach.
Estm. Time 45 to 50 mins.

Morning Tea expected to take 30-60 mins, and to depart at approx-1100

for Berry via Wollongong, Princes Hwy thru Albion Park, Kiama
Expected to take approx. 65 to 75 mins  ( approx.76 km) 

Driving through Berry and turning RIGHT onto “ Tourist Drive 7 “ to Kangaroo Valley just out of town.  This is a great twisty drive, although a bit narrow in places so be aware of oncoming traffic.

Arriving at Kangaroo Valley Village for a spot of lunch and refreshments.
Possibly all parking at rear of Pub, on right side.( = Friendly Inn --Kangaroo Valley ) 
Lunch and browsing expected to take approx 1 to 1.5 hours, allowing group to depart KV at approx 1400.


Depart KV Village for drive to Robertson via Fitzroy Falls (optional stop ), turning right onto Sheepwash Rd. then right onto Illawarra Hwy.  Stop at Robertson, either at old Dairy or “Robertson Pie shop”, just out of town.
Expected to take approx. 25 to 35 mins., ( =39 km )


Depart Robertson stop for drive back to Sydney via Macquarie Pass / Illawarra Hwy. Then onto Freeway and back to departure point at Loftus. 
Expected to take approx. 60 to 90 mins..

Total distance approx. 260km.
